The Management of Lisabank Repossession Warehouse cc, for the period 2006 to 2009 suppliers of consignment used and reconditioned repossessed vehicles to the major Car Auction establishment in Sandton . These vehicles were sourced from various Bank Repossession Auctions, such as Wesbank and Standard Bank and other Bank Repossession Auctions.
They also sourced repossessions from the other major Bank Repossession auctioneers. At Bank Repossession auctions, clients do not have the option of test driving vehicles and doing any comprehensive checks on the vehicles. The recent promulgation of the Consumer Protection Act specifically excludes Consumer Protection cover from all vehicles bought via the auction method. This convinced Lisabank repo warehouse management that clients would be better off buying the repossessed vehicles after they had been checked and reconditioned.
